JibeSet Beta is here!

Today, we’re excited to announce the launch of the long awaited JibeSet Beta. To sign up, visit http://jibeset.co and enter your name and email address. When we have a spot for you, we’ll send you an email with details on how to register an account.

JibeSet aims to simplify the processes of regatta management by providing intuitive tools for announcing events, accepting registrations and payments, scoring events, and publishing results. Competitors can register their boats for an event with a couple clicks of their mouse. Users can follow things they’re interested in, like an event or another user, and their news feeds will keep them up to date when results are posted, race documents are updated, a friend registers for an event, etc.

Here are some screenshots to get you excited:

At launch we are supporting PHRF Time on Time, PHRF Time on Distance, and One Design scoring. The ISAF Low Point system is used for series scoring, but we currently DO NOT support throwouts. This goes against the ISAF Low Point rule, and we’re working hard to finish the implementation.

It’s important to note that we will not be processing payments during the Beta period. You’re doing us a great service by helping us test the system, and we don’t want to muddy the waters by getting money involved.

Follow this blog for updates, and give us a follow @jibe_set on twitter as well. We’re really excited about building the best community in the world for everyone involved in the sport of yacht racing. Thanks for joining us!
